The Civil Actions Unit Citation was awarded in two classes-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel during the Vietnam war.  Military personnel or units that performed outstanding achievements in the field of civil affairs were eligible for the Civil Actions Medal.

An award created from the former South Vietnamese government, it is authorized for all United States Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Navy personnel, as well as some members of the United States Army who served on land in Vietnam.
