The Southwest Asia Service Ribbon is awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces who participated in, or directly supported, military operations in Southwest Asia or in surrounding areas between August 2, 1990 and November 30, 1995 during and after Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
